Suzanne Benner

Sue Benner, Executive Director of Lehigh Commons Personal Care Home, is a proud Lehigh Valley native and graduate of Southern Lehigh High School and Delaware Valley University. With lifelong roots in the community, she brings a deep sense of connection, trust, and commitment to the residents and families who call Lehigh Commons home.

Her journey in senior living began at just 16 years old, and through many roles over the years, she has developed a true passion for caring for seniors and creating meaningful, enriching communities. She believes that senior living should feel warm, supportive, and full of life, and she is dedicated to making Lehigh Commons a place where residents feel respected, engaged, and genuinely cared for.

Family is at the heart of her values. She has been married to her husband, her high school sweetheart, for 25 years, and together they have two daughters currently attending college—one studying Early Childhood Education and the other pursuing Interior Design with a focus on Pre-Architecture. These family values guide her leadership style and her commitment to treating every resident as part of the Lehigh Commons family.

As Executive Director, she takes pride in fostering a welcoming atmosphere where residents can thrive, families feel confident and supported, and team members are empowered to provide compassionate, personalized care each day. Her goal is simple: to make Lehigh Commons a place where residents love to live and families feel at peace knowing their loved ones are well cared for.
